The Haldex system can transmit torque before the engine delivers torque. At greater speeds the torque will decrease enabling less over-steer and safer driving properties. The advantages of this HPP upgrade are it's ability to predict the onset of torque much like the PreX which is for their newer hardware but even more aggressively.

1 May 2018 From what I've read the big difference between Gen 2 and Gen 3 is the so I'm really believing the S40 and V50 AWD have Gen 3 Haldex systems. and the filter is about a 1/3 longer, where as the GEN II/III hous

When you have the required parts, workshop installation is quick. Step-by-step and detailed installation instructions can be found here. The site does differentiate between Gen 1 and Gen 2, and even specifically says the year of the change and shows the difference. And yes, they do still sell Gen 1 adapters, including the 10-30.
